Note: Background noise or loud background music can reduce transcription accuracy. If your audio environment is noisy and captions seem off, that may be the cause.
Captions aren't showing, or only some are showing
If [Transcribe Video] finished but no captions appeared (or only some did), this is usually an audio settings issue in Premiere. Check the following:
1. Audio channel configuration
Right-click the audio clip in the Premiere timeline.
Select [Audio Channels...].
Make sure the media source channels match. Mismatched channels can stop Premiere Assistant from detecting speech.
2. Audio volume levels
In Premiere, go to [Window] > [Audio].
Check the volume bar for the audio track. If the volume is very low, Premiere Assistant may not detect any speech.
Captions are in the wrong language
If captions came out in the wrong language, check your language setting before transcribing. Make sure the selected language matches the spoken language in your video, then run [Transcribe Video] again.
The video has more than one language
Premiere Assistant supports one language per transcription. If your video includes multiple languages, transcribe each language separately using the correct language setting, then combine the results manually.
