Watching a draft and firing off changes one at a time is slow. Comments let you note everything as you watch, then hand the whole list to chat and get one revised draft back.
Leave comments as you watch
Open the [Assistant] panel and switch to [Comments].
Play your draft. When you reach something you want changed, click [Add comment].
Type what you want. The comment is pinned to wherever the playhead is.
Every comment also becomes a marker on the timeline, so you can see where your notes fall across the whole edit.
Change or remove a comment
Double-click a comment to edit it.
Click [Jump to this point] to move the playhead there.
Click [Delete comment] to remove it.
Send them to chat
When your notes are done, click [Send comments to chat]. Chat reads the whole list, proposes an edit plan covering every comment, and waits for you to confirm before it builds a new draft.
Note: Sending starts a new chat session, so the conversation begins fresh with your comments as the brief.
What you can comment on
Comments work for structural changes: assembly, storyline, cuts, pacing, and camera switches.
Audio, color grading, and effects are not supported yet. Those belong in your NLE after handoff.
FAQs
I cannot leave a comment
Comments attach to a draft, so you need one first. If you have a draft and still cannot comment, it may not have a transcript yet, which comments rely on to locate your notes.
Can I send one comment at a time?
You can, but the point of comments is to batch them. Chat handles the whole list in one plan, which usually gives a more coherent result than a run of separate requests.
Does this overwrite my draft?
No. Chat creates a new draft with the changes applied, so the one you commented on stays as it was.
