I applied cut edits to the sequence. It worked in Premiere Assistant but not in Premiere.

When a Caption Track (C1~) Is Present

  • If a caption track (subtitles track) exists, cut edits cannot be applied. Please remove the caption tracks temporarily and try again.

  • If you're using nested sequences, check if there is a caption track inside the nested sequence as well.

When Track Targeting Is Turned Off

  • If track targeting is turned off, cut edits may not applied properly.

  • First, in Premiere Assistant, click the Time Machine button to return to the state before [Apply to sequence].

  • Then, in the Premiere Pro sequence panel, make sure all track targeting buttons are turned on. (Click the VX, AX track numbers to highlight them in blue, located next to the lock icon.)

  • Finally, go back to Premiere Assistant and run [Apply to sequence] again.
