How to Upload a TXT or SRT File to Import Subtitles

Updated over 2 months ago

If you have a TXT or SRT file, you can use it to automatically generate subtitles.

Tip:
We recommend reviewing the detailed caption generation guide first.

Using a TXT File to Generate Subtitles

1) Before Transcribe

  1. Go to the [Edit Captions] menu

  2. Paste your script into the Script field

  3. Click the Transcribe button

  • If the script matches the spoken content, subtitles are generated as-is.
If there are differences, AI will re-analyze the audio to generate subtitles.

2) After Transcribe

  • In [Rough Cut] mode, ask the AI Assistant to generate subtitles.
    See the guide for details.

Using an SRT File to Generate Subtitles

  1. Go to the [Edit Captions] menu

  2. Click the [Upload SRT file] button and select your SRT file

  • Timeline panel features are not available when using imported SRT files.
