Cutback won’t launch.

If you see errors like "ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED" or "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT", the issue is likely related to your device or network settings.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Check your internet connection

    • A stable connection is required.

    • We recommend an upload speed of at least 200 Mbps.

    • You can test your speed at https://fast.com.

  2. Check your firewall and security settings

    • Your firewall, antivirus software, or VPN may be blocking Cutback.

    • Temporarily disable any security programs, firewalls, and VPNs.

    • After disabling, restart your computer and try again.

  3. Try a different network

    • If you're using a shared or restricted network (e.g., corporate or proxy), try switching to a different internet connection.


If you see the following message:
​"The Cutback plugin must be running and logged in to use this feature. If you have already started it, please wait a moment."

This likely means that you launched Cutback Browser instead of the actual Cutback plugin.

  1. Close the current panel.

  2. In Premiere Pro, go to the top menu: [Window] > [Extensions] > [Cutback]

This will launch the correct Cutback plugin.
