An error occurred while [Transcribe Video] or [Remove Silence]

Updated over a month ago

Most subtitle transcription errors are closely related to Premiere Pro settings. In particular, if the project file or sequence settings are incorrect, you may see messages like "a low-level exception occurred in ACC Audio (exporter:9)".

  1. Please check your Premiere Pro version. Cutback supports Premiere Pro 2023 or later.

  2. Please check your internet speed. Cutback performs speech analysis and subtitle transcription on a server (not your local device) to provide high-performance AI services. If your internet is slow, audio upload to the server may fail. We recommend using Cutback in an environment with at least 200 Mbps internet speed. (Check speed here: https://fast.com/)

  3. Try changing the audio format. There are known issues with WAV. Please switch to AAC and try again. Go to the Cutback → [Menu] → [Settings]Audio Export Format, and select AAC.

  4. Make sure the bitrate of the sequence matches the Premiere Pro settings, then try again.

    • In the Project panel, Right-click the clip you want to transcribe (the one used in the sequence) in the Project panel, then check the Audio Sample Rate in Properties.

    • Then go to Sequence menuSequence Settings in Premiere Pro,
and adjust the Audio Sample Rate to match the clip's rate.

    • The sample rates in both panels must match.

  5. This may also be caused by a version conflict with Premiere Pro. Try rolling back to version 25.2.3 or earlier via Adobe Creative Cloud, create a new project file, and try again.
