The sync between Cutback and Premiere Pro doesn’t match.

Updated over 2 months ago

Here are some steps to check if you’re experiencing sync issues between Cutback and Premiere Pro:

  1. Check if you selected the correct range in Premiere Pro before transcribing
Make sure you selected the exact portion you want to edit in Premiere and only transcribed that part in Cutback. If you transcribed just a part of the sequence, sync issues may occur.

  2. Cutback and the Premiere timeline are not synced in real time
If you make changes to the Premiere timeline after transcribing in Cutback, the sync may break.
Either finish editing in Premiere before using Cutback, or apply your edits from Cutback to the sequence first, then make changes in the timeline.

  3. Check sync accuracy in multicam editing
Premiere Pro’s multicam auto-sync feature can sometimes be inaccurate.
Make sure your clips are properly synced within the Premiere sequence before working in Cutback.

  4. If only part of the video is out of sync
You can open the Timeline panel in Cutback and manually adjust the affected sections.

If the issue continues, please reach out via the Cutback chat support center.
